I have only been behind on two payments. I attempted to make it right within a 7 day period. I will still make it right. However, I felt with the most disgusting human on the face of this planet. No one should ever talk to ANYONE FOR ANY REASON like I was talked to. You haven't heard the last of me Joe.

Direct Capital-Unethical money scammers

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I worked for them for 6 months and I had to resign because I could not stand the way the company, Direct Capital, scams people. I worked for them when the market crashed about 8-9 years ago. They totally took advantage of desperate people trying to keep their heads above water. Instead, Direct Capital took every penny from these desperate farmers and ranchers. People from Texas would sign anything just to hear that they can be saved. The only people that were helped were the owners of DC. Worst company I have ever worked for. Morally bankrupt!! Why they are still in business is beyond my comprehension.

Any tips on terminating at the end of my lease? I am at the end now.

Same Deal Here! Was bait and switch at its best.

I earned a surprise lease after signing with them years ago.

They STOLE $965 dollars from me using some scam they call Interim rent. I would have never signed a lease for my purchase.

I never signed a lease (or did I)? THEIFS

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They sneakily changed the deal and hid it in the paperwork converting the advertised 1.25% equipment loan into a lease with terrible terms. Never will I do business with them again. NEVER. After my equipment was installed the company rep said my first payment would be due in thirty days. I later learned they charged me $965.00 for this courtesy using something called interim rent since I used the product for that period of time before I made my first payment. In four months my problems with them will be over. I wonder if they will weasel out of returning my security deposit they made me pay to get the loan in the first place!!!!!

Our small printing business was struggling to stay afloat and thought we'd lease a Xante envelope press to do envelopes to save the company. We weren't making a profit and xante hooked us up with Direct Capital to lease the press.

The Xante was of poor quality and very job had to be done over numerous times and then it broke down and couldn't use it and we still had to pay lease payments on a machine that wasn't running. Our company went under and because in contract with Direct Capital, we couldn't sell it or sublease it. So after we closed down, our attorney sent them a letter informing them to pick up the equipment. They didn't or maybe they did.

We'll never know but they're suing us for 15,000 and not even deducting the years we made payments on a broken press. They're going afte us personally. They asked for all our bank statements before working with us. So they saw we weren't making a profit so they shouldn't have given us the lease.

Perhaps if the machine wasn't a piece of junk or a lemon, maybe our business would have been saved. They look for vulnerable situations and go after you personally. They shouldn't be in business because they are sharks. They've been harassing us for years and their venom is poisonous.

I wish I had been warned. They're trying to destroy us.

Middlby Marshall? Same thing happened to me.

four months to go. I hear they charge $395.00 cancellation fee.

Not an early cancellation fee, but a fee to close the account at the end. The stole everything from me you stated in your complaint including the exact amount of interim rent i was charged.

Direct Capital has ACH only policy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Didn't get far with these guys. Was offered a "low rate" on an equipment loan but was asked to pay money up front and agree to ACH (electronic withdraw from my bank account) BEFORE they would make the terms clear in writing. I found this to be highly suspicious. Think about it. If you sign on for ACH they can take from you as they please. If you're told to drop your draws and bend over...guess what comes next? NO THANKS!!! So I hit the old interwebs looking for some feedback on this outfit and I find a lot negative info. I think it's all true. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ANYONE WHO IS ACH ONLY!!!

Misrepresention

This company misrepresents the interest rates they charge. In addition, they absolutely are not to be trusted to follow through with any promises any of their staff make. They say one thing, and do another. Absolutely the most disreputable company in this space. They have several layers of people that allow them to all speak to their own interests, but at the end of the day, the client gets hosed. After working with them nearly full term, the equipment is leased, they maintain ownership, the client winds up paying at least 2x the original cost. After all that, Direct Capital winds up owning the equipment. This company gives equipment leasing a bad name.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.. Beware of upfront dishonesty about interest rates, and payment terms.

Was quick to take my account information and charge me first and last months payment even after I told them I wasn't getting my equipment for over 2 months.. Not to mention their additional $200 fee for them raping me on the interest rate... When I called to voice my concern they didn't return calls and just passed around to different departments..

Now I get letters about the fine print of this insurance BS that they are going to automatically charge me every month - which was never mention in the application process.. SHADY COMPANY - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM - YOU'LL REGRET IT...

Direct Capital - Equipment loan(s)
I've had 2 equipment leases with Direct Capitol and have had no problems with them at all. I did repay loans back early and got no discounted finance or interest charges back but I knew i wouldn't. Direct Capitol carried me through the process from start to finish. I received prompt responses from my reps during the whole process even after the loans where satisfied. Would I use them again.....yes...Direct Capitol provided me funds I needed to take my business to the next level ! Direct Capitol...for me was "professional, knowledgable, and responsive" to my needs as a customer. Do you have to be careful and know what your getting into when entering into any legal agreement....Absolutely.....

Direct Capital Financing

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Financing is a necessary evil at times when you need equipment for your business. Direct Capital is not the place to get it. They charge you an upfront processing fee, and interest which is understandable. What they do is slip in your 1st months payment as a "Rental Fee", and they charge you a fee when you complete the contract, The EF Agreement states that there is "a termination fee up to $379". You would think that if you finished your agreement as contracted that it would not be considered "Terminated". No, they word it like that so it reads as if that will be what you are charged if you do not honor the agreement. The truth is, they will charge you every bit of the $379 regardless even after they tell you what the total cost of the financing is. Find another company to do business with. There are plenty, and some are even ethical. If you are a wise business person, you will see other resources. I feel wise now.

I wanted to update this post. I have been in contact with Direct Capital in regards to the excess charges.

They could not explain to me why they were there, but Candler C. was quick to get the issue resolved. They actually got the matter corrected faster than I have seen with 90% of the companies out there when there is a problem.

I also audited 2 other accounts that I have had with them in the past, and those were aligned with what I agreed upon.

I can only assume at this point that, that it was a clerical error with the data entry into the system.

In summary, we all make mistakes. I originally wrote this post when I saw the charges, and there was very little communication with them about the problem. In this case, I admit that I was wrong in writing this post without first giving them a real chance to correct it.

Overall, I must admit that my experience with them has been pretty simple. I paid the initial fees, and very little interest to ascertain equipment that I needed at the time. The overall cost to do this was minor as compared to others, and I was able to get the equipment I needed. I will do business with Michael H.

(sales Rep) again when needed.

Loan sharks!

I am a physician who was purchasing expensive capital equipment from the laser company, Cynosure. I did not have any previous knowledge or experience with Direct Capital. They were the partnering company who was running credit checks and doing the lease financing for Cynosure. I was given a final price and asked to sign the sales agreement, which had no financing or interest rates On it on the day of the sale at the conference I was attending and thought that the only role Direct capital was playing was to check my credit and offer me financing options. I was not given any other papers that day. Not even a copy of the sale agreement. While driving home, I called the rep for Cynosure and asked for a copy of all papers to be faxed or emailed to me. In the meantime, on the third day after the sale the delivery men showed up at my office and on their way out asked me to sign a paper saying I have received all the equipment intact and in new condition.

The long and very sad story is that I found out that Direct capital had in fact taken the liberty to complete the lease and financing without ever showing me an interest rate, nor with me signing anything that had that info on it!!!

In fact the only place they tricked me into signing was the delivery form. There was a small paragraph with smaller font at the bottom of the page where they put down, (almost as an afterthought or a side note!!!!) the "finance rate" , which is a vague term used for calculating an interest rate. This , by the way , ended up being 13 % !!!

I had and still have a business line of credit with a prime + 0 interest rate through my own bank that I wanted to use for financing.

This was a $40,000 education that I will never forget.

I will also never forget the names Direct Capital and Cynosure. Shady companies are always in bed with each other. It's very sad that corporations need to lie, cheat and steal. There is plenty of money to be made while abiding by moral and ethical standards.

Neither company did anything to resolve or better this situation. I hope they pay for their actions.

I wish someone would start a class action suit against them.

I am a practicing doctor in PA.

They are breaking the law!

A man called my mother about my husband. He told her it was for a fraud claim (illegal) against him. She gave me 2 different numbers and a claim number that he had given her (illegal). I called and he told me it was for a bad check (illegal to tell anyone but the person the claim is against). He then told me my husband owed over $5000 for a payday loan (wrong). He asked me if we had been served yet and then told me they were getting paperwork together to take legal action (illegal to threaten). He then told me that they had ON VIDEO SURVEILLANCE my husband walking into a payday loan store and getting a loan (all false and again, illegal). I laughed and told him none of that was true. He then got upset and said he was done talking to me and hung up.

Direct Capital is a Business to Business lender. They do not offer Pay Day loans and would not be calling as such. Before you go on a website to complain about companies, please make sure you are complaining about the proper one.

Direct Capital - They are not Up too Par Folks
So, we were looking for a company to lease some equipment, we went through the normal questions and ask them what documents you need, what scores do you require, please tell us everything you need to process the loan because we do not want to run the credit unless we have discussed and received pre-approval at least. Famous BLOW SUNSHINE UP THE PANT LEG FROM DIRECT CAPITAL We only go by credit score, you need no other documents to get approved. WTH do they then ask for bank statements, 5 references, corp docs, and then tell us a 720 credit score is to low to get a 30,000 lease line while showing 80,000 in the bank and 150,000 credit line at Chase and10,000 at Cap 1. The wrench name Julie Genest | Direct Capital is so unprofessional and really a bald face liar. I would not be doing business with these people for ***, and now so glad we were turned down based on what I've read. The only reason we went to them was that the equipment company said that they were a good group of people. Little did they know and by the way we dropped the equipment company after getting involved with this terrible company. WARING WARNING WARNING STAY AWAY FROM DIRECT CAP

STAY AWAY FROM DIRECT CAPITAL IN NH

I worked for them and it is nothing but a boiler room operation of gangsters. These guys are rich because they know how to legally scam every penny from any business out there. They have a bunch of telemarketers on an automatic dialers fishing for business with lies and nothing but false promises, once they get you to sign on the dotted line you are done. They have a team of lawyers that take care of all their dirty work, because that's where the fun begins. Sure they are great are marketing their empty promises and they have been doing this for years and they use that to their advantage. Sure if any business can scam others and get away with it they would be in business for ever.

Claim for a judgement for a mistaken identity

On June 4 2016, I received a judgement note from a Cohn & Dussis LLC, a law firm reprensenting Direct Capital Corporation from my daughter in Maryland. A one Kwame Acheampang person of Ashanti Enterprises in New Hampshire has incurred a whopping $7365 charges for the business in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The business, for whatever they do, was taken to court. Kwame Acheampang and Ashanti Enterprises defaulted and a judgement was entered against Kwame Acheampang at New Hampshire Circuit Court in Portsmouth. I have never ever in my entire life resided in New Hampshire or registered any business in New Hampshire. As a Chemical Engineer, I have lived in Pennslyvania, New Jersey and overseas in Saudi Arabia working in the Oil and Gas industry. My only crime is I am also called Kwame Manu Acheampong, a Chemical Engineer by education and work experience. To get a judgement notice from Direct Capital attorneys, when I have never worked or lived in New Hampshire smells very fishy to me. I am going to fight this tooth and nail to get these people off my back. The amazing thing is that I am 63 year old, took early retirement after a stoke and is currently residing in my native Ghana. If anyone else has had a similar experience, please let me on how they fought it. I can be reached at ACHEAMKMUS@***.com Thx, Kwame Manu Acheampong
